Why is this forum so FAST?

Seriously. I cannot possibly read this fast. I click a link and the "boom" it is open before I can even take a sip of my coffee. Was there a server added or something? Anything we can do about this problem?

You're not being bogged down or spammed with excessive advertising either,

... I usually logon to a fishing forum before/after this and it's full of exploding pop-ups and other annoying advertising that seriously impedes one's ability to navigate the site.

B&G should be an industry standard,
