Colts common opponents
I've yet to hear any media attention to the fact that New Orleans and Indy shared 6 common opponents this year and how they fared. The point differential was almost two times higher for the Saints. It's just another stat but I think it's as good as any.

The Saints and Colts each played the Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Rams, Pats and Cards. We scored and average 34.6 points versus these teams while the Colts scored 26.7. Our D held them to 17.5 points per game while the Colts gave up 21.2 points per game. Our average margin of victory was 17.1 to the Colts 5.5. Even if you throw out the games the Colts rested starters we still had twice the margin of victory and we didn't get the luxury of beating the Jets again and their "number 1 D" that gave up 8 losses this year.Posted 01-30-2010 at 10:27 AM by WhoDatPride

Not that it would change the stats that much, but I wouldn't look into the Pats game too much from the Colts perspective.
