Quinn v. Russell
 

Ive been saying this all year... but after watching the game last night has anyone changed their mind about who should be the first qb taken in next years draft? I understand LSU defense is better then Notre Dame but on mechanics, throwing motion and desicions, do you think Russell is better then Quinn?

Hell yeah! The guy has a serious arm. Teams really love that he's a big ole guy, but he's extremely accurate with his throws. He was darn near sacked, and threw a 58 yard strike to his WR. Quinn looked a bit off tune, to me. I'd take Russell no matter any performance

Arm wise... it's not even comparable. Russell has the strongest arm in the nation. When he cocks back and lasers it, I'd say he throws as hard as Favre. Measureables... Russell probably has the edge in every category. The thing Quinn has on Russell is the fact he's been operating under a pro system and is probably the smarter quarterback.

i would still go with quinn. his arm is not nearly as strong, but he has a better touch and runs an offense better than russell. russell will probably be a good qb in the nfl, but i think quinn will be better.

talking about arm strength.. did you hear that Russell can throw 40 yards, sitting down.. imagine that!

yeah...that will do him a lot of good in the nfl.

aaron brooks has a rocket arm as well...brooks was a great qb in the nfl (sarcasim)
