The War Against Northern Aggression. As did Texans. I'll take Okies and Texans any day over Auburn and Vandy. The former are true Southern schools, the latter are Carpetbagger schools. From Wiki: >>Founded in 1873, the university is named for shipping and rail magnate "Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt, who provided Vanderbilt its initial $1 million endowment despite having never been to the South. << And, my personal bifurcated Southron stubborn opionion about Auburn is that it started out wonderfully. And then became the hideous malignancy it is today after the war ended and they sold out the ag & mechanical roots to some highfallutin' bull honkey that attracts every fool this side of Bakersfield CA. I only ever feel compassion for Auburn because they gave us the Round Mound of Rebound hissef, and I just love that man. |
