Freakish ability gives DT Johnson chance to shine as a freshman
By Luke Johnson, The Times-Picayune The Times-Picayune Freshman defensive tackle Anthony Johnson had a reputation before he set foot on LSU's campus. The moniker "Freak" is a testament to Johnson's raw athleticism, which isn't usually paired with a 6-foot-3, 295-pound mountain of a man. And he wasn't anointed "Freak" by a high school teammate or the media. It was given to him by longtime NFL and college defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. "My sophomore year, I committed to the University of Tennessee, and the defensive coordinator at the time, Monte Kiffin, said he wanted me to run a 40-yard dash," Johnson said. "I was 315 pounds at the time, and I ran a 4.8-second 40." Freakish ability gives DT Johnson chance to shine as a freshman | NOLA.com I want this guy in black and gold in 4 years. I take Heberts kid too. I mean T-Bob is an awesome name and I'd take him just for that. |
Unlike his previous 5 star predecessors in Al Woods and Chris Davenport, this kid has a relentless motor and will become a star.
|
Can't wait to se him play this year.
