Ran into a old friend of my late Dad's at Applebees a few weeks ago; both going solo we sat together at the bar as I bought lunch and we talked football...
I usually look for and pick up subtle things when watching football when discussing with my friends... Mr. Frank, who has a son being recruited to play college football, had caught me off guard with this observation... "...you know why I wouldn't want my boy playing for Les Miles and LSU? First, I don't like coaches that can't adjust their game plans to the players they have and play to those strengths. Second, when I saw that Lee boy a couple of years ago throw all those interceptions - I didn't see one LSU coach sitting on the sidelines with him, encouraging him, teaching him - not one..." I went to another buddy of mine who's die-hard LSU fan and has the games digitally recorded. When I mentioned what Mr. Frank said, he went to two games rather quickly and Ffwd to various points after interceptions and guess what - that's exactly what happened... You have to wonder how many prospects or their families notice this as well as recruiting cycle comes to a close... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
