It's a start!

Note to Universities: STOP BUILDING STATUES to former coaches who were compensated MILLIONS OF DOLLARS already! They were paid for their greatness.

The OLD SCHOOL coaches, the ones who made PENNIES and still stuck around, those are the ones you should erect statues for.

I agree with Halo.
I get it that some people are saying taking down JoeP's statue or erasing his record and other thin gs does not erase the facts of those wins or of waht happened.
True. However , it is all symbolic gestures of moving forward and making xorrections for all what has been done .
People have different opinions as to what Joe Paterno knew and things. He was , on one hand he was a board trustee, had his hand in everything, chosing professors, and more and especailly over everything and everyone in HIS football program. Then people want to say, well, he knew nothing of this and when he was told, he reported it. How can he be all knowing, all powerful everywhere else, but totally ignorant, powerless with this matter that than been going on for over a decade.
The whole thing is disgusting.

People wore Joe Pa t-shirts, wept & chanted "we are Penn State" as the statue was removed.

I guess nobody molested THEIR kids ...
