Honestly, the media is all watching this, but I think the timing and the logistics of transferring schools at the drop of a hat in August are harder than many people realize for the average player (deposits on apartments, moving expenses, registering for classes, getting credits transferred, paperwork, changing residence, etc). Some of the younger freshman-sophomore guys may need to accumulate a certain number of credits before they can academically transfer to another school. Some of the older guys may have problems with getting credits or grades accepted at other schools, especially if they are in "jock" classes or programs. A lot of deadlines for this kind of thing are typically in April or May. Of course the big powerhouse football schools like LSU and USC can do pretty much whatever they want, bending the rules, but most Penn State players will have to play by the boring rules of transferring schools.

But I bet we will see a LOT more of them start trickling away NEXT year.
