Week 6 College matchups to Watch

Indiana vs Penn St.

No. 1 Ohio State 34-27 Indiana Say what? Is this team for real? This is the first time i will get to see them play. So i do not have much say about them.

Nick Mangieri, DE, Senior (6-5, 270, 4.97)
Ralph Green, DT, Redshirt Junior (6-4, 315, 5.33)
Jordan Howard RB

Now Penn St on the other hand is a team with a future. Loaded with youth at the skilled positions on offense and a solid youth movement on defense in its own right. Looks like a bunch of freshman and sophomores running around like it is Frat week on the field. Pre views to the nitty lions draft in 2017, 2018 or even 2019 could be on display today. They signed some really nice young talent.

Christian Hackenberg, QB, Junior (6-4, 236, 4.78)
Solid prospect in his own right as we all know

Anthony Zettel, DT/DE, Redshirt Senior (6-4, 278, 4.87)The preseason star of the DL and has not disappointed. He is a true nightmare to block. I see 34 DE in his NFL futureAs you all know my number reason to watch this game is

Austin Johnson, DT, Redshirt Junior (6-3, 325, 5.27)

He has gone from a who? ranking in the draft to "THE" sky rocketing prospect of the draft. He shot up the boards so high and fast the kid must have a nose bleed. He actually broke the per-verbal ceiling and had his name mentioned as 1st round talent last week. Not sure if I would go that far on his band wagon ride just yet. I still see as a bottom of the second top of the third right now. But I would not be surprised by seasons end he is a solid 1/2 prospect at all.

Watch and count the number of times this big guy is in the screen on plays to the outside. He hustles and is almost none stop. Love his play down the line on running downs. He seems to always be in the mix when a RB cuts back to the inside. Pass rush is nothing fancy. swims and bulls his way to the QB collapsing the pocket pretty darn well.

At 327 pounds and swear he is closer to 350 but he is surprisingly quick and fast. Looking for DL help yet do not want to waste a first round pick? then is the man for you....so far. remember i beat this drum first lol

Re: Week 6 College matchups to Watch

No. 13 Northwestern at No. 18 Michigan

This is going to be a Big Ten slug fest both defenses have been excellent. Not to sure just who I should be talking about in this one. Still not overly hyped just yet by either team to point out a player to fit the saints needs.

Georgia Tech at No. 6 Clemson

Is Georgia Tech still relevant in 2015? Clemson walking into a trap game? Both are well documented and yet the real question in a game like this is Which players will have their heads in the game and which one will be just out there.

No. 11 Florida at Missouri

Of course there is Vernon Hargreaves the #1 rated CB in the draft.

In beating Ole Miss 38-10 and now hearing "This is one of the nation's top defenses", I am not going that far just yet. DE Jonathan Bullard, DE/OLB Alex McCalister Jr and DT Joey Ivie Jr. are all worth keeping an eye on. It is true freshman DE CeCe Jefferson I will be watching for.

This why I am looking forward to this match up. Litmus paper test for

Evan Boehm, C/LOG, senior (6-3, 320, 5.15) 3 yr starter w/ Strength and well-rounded blocker. In todays NFL Centers and Guards are coming into this league at just around 300 pounds and built for the spread offenses. Gotta fatten them up and train them to play with their hands in the dirt. With Even, that is not an issue.

No. 23 California at No. 5 Utah

First off I hate scouting Utah. This is a team not made up of stars for the most part but as a team they might be the best coach units in football. If you want the definition of what playing as a team can do for you Utah appears to be the example you looking for.

But this should be a great game to watch. What is the most impressive thing about Jared Goff besides his arm? His ability to make plays under dourest. Well I see him getting plenty of opportunities to show case that skill tonight.

Devontae Booker in all honesty is nothing really great in any one phase of his game but when you put all the phases together he just might be the best all around back in this draft.

Booker should get plenty of time show cases his talents against a solid defense that is not up to snuff talent wise as the OL they are facing with the Utah. Cals defense has been a let down to say the least so you never know they may just play up to preseason expectations finally and we will have a game. If not time of possession will favor Utah and it should be the Devontae Booker show all night long with Utah having their usual long methodical drives down the field.

DE Hunter Dimick and DE Kylie Fitts might become the best "ALL AROUND" bookend DE in college football. that is IF the stay in school for their senior years. ILB Jared Norris for Utah. Nothing flashy but a solid all around football player.

WR Kenny Lawler Cal a skinny kid that has silly skills and a lot still to learn. Love the routes Bryce Treggs runs but we already drafted Cooke.
