I'd lump Coach "O" in that bunch as well. Gotta do better than 8-4, 9-4 seasons in Baton Rouge.

Re: LSU posts worst recruiting class rank in over a decade
What bothers me the most about Orgeron is how dishonest he is. And I'm not talking about "coach speak" type of dishonesty.

He told all of us he had learned his lesson from his time at Ole Miss, and that he wouldn't interfere with his assistants. Which kind of made him look weak, frankly, but it was actually the best way for LSU to make it work, in my opinion.

But what did he do? He stuck his nose in Matt Canada's offense (and we lost to Troy the very game he first did this) and ran him out of town. He tells us he's going to go get the best coordinator out there, and instead he goes back to Steve Ensminger.

Then he spurns a bunch of recruits to try to fit in a couple of top prospects, and he misses out on THEM, too. So LSU doesn't even fill out their max of 25 scholarships. What does Orgeron do to try to defend himself? He says he didn't want to sign players for the last two spots, in case of any transfers he might be able to pick up... Really? And what if you can't get any of those, either? He just couldn't admit that he blew it with those last two spots. He turned down some good prospects who wanted to come here, and put all of his eggs in the baskets of teenagers who are either untrustworthy in their word, or were 50/50 on coming here to begin with.

He lost that gamble, and burned bridges in the process. I don't do twitter, thankfully, but I've read comments from people who say Orgeron is blocking people on his twitter who say anything negative on his page. How thin skinned is he? Does he have any idea what it means to be the head coach of a major program? Why does he think he's making millions, despite an underwhelming track record, at best?

I have to keep reminding myself its a game, every time I think about what a ridiculous decision it was to hire Orgeron. Game or not, it's his job. There is no excuse for this mess.

Funny part is Southeastern just got a better head coach IMO:

Prior to his time in San Antonio, Scelfo coached for three seasons with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars as an offensive assistant working with the quarterbacks. In his final season in Jacksonville, quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns under Scelfo's tutelage.

In 2010 and 2011, Scelfo was the quarterbacks coach at Arizona. During his tenure with the Wildcats, he tutored future NFL quarterbacks Nick Foles and Tom Savage. Foles, a third-round draft pick in 2012, will start Super Bowl LII this Sunday for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The three seasons prior saw Scelfo serve as the offensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech. Scelfo's stint in Ruston included a 2008 Independence Bowl victory – the Bulldogs' first bowl victory in three decades.

Before heading to north Louisiana, Scelfo spent 11 seasons on the staff at Tulane, including the final eight as the Green Wave's offensive coordinator. Scelfo was the recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach for a 1998 TU squad that was one of two FBS teams to finish undefeated that season, recording a 12-0 mark and a Liberty Bowl victory.
