Americans drive like rude arseholes for the most part. They'll accelerate to a stop sign twenty feet away in a damn dead end parking lot.
Americans are spoiled brats who dream of having a Hummer so they can drive to a mall with a cell phone glued to their face. Some of you have rainbows in your braincells. You're too naive or brainwashed... OR DISHONEST to admit YOU are the problem. Humans are like crackheads to oil. The last car I owned was in 1988. I've been on a bike since. Some of us don't suck oil companies dicks like the rest of you. |

I try to hit people on bicycles. I'm being as serious as I know how to be when I say walking down the sidewalk on the Embarcadero is one of the more dangerous things a person can do.
San Francisco has spent billions I'm sure on bike lanes for those little bastards and they prefer the Mother ****ing sidewalk. They slow traffic and they run red lights and I'd like to beat the living chit out of every damn one of them. /rant |
... the only person I know who relies solely on a bike for transportation does so because he's had his license revoked ... just sayin'. It's not a practical means of transportation for the entire population.
It's nice to dream of a perfect world where there are no carbon emissions, we don't have to rely on oil and everyone lives in harmony, but then reality sets in ... Goods have to get to market, homes have to be heated, manufacturers have to manufacture, people have to commute ... it's the world we live in ... it is what it is. I do my part ... drive less, keep the thermostat low, recycle, the whole-nine yards ... what I don't like is having skyrocketing gas/electric/natural gas prices being rammed down my throat in an effort to make me accept alternative energy technology that is still in it's infancy and not yet cost-effective or efficient enough for the common man. I'd love to have solar panels on my house, love to own an electric vehicle too ... and I probably will one day ... just as soon as it's a cost-effective, eficient alternative to what's available now. |
