In La they would activate us before the storm, 2-3 days. They are telling us Guardmen/women in PA to be ready Monday. That's too late! Most Soldiers will not be able to report, places flood very easily around here. In Philly there have been a string of police shootings lately. Let's see, criminals, murders, bad weather...I'm willing to bet we won't even draw weapons. I'll do my part to help but there is no way I'm going out in that city unarmed.

We were spared in PA, especially Philly. I was really concerned about looting and shots fired. Down trees, minor flooding. Should be released from duty in a few days since all the roads are cleared of debris.

That's good to hear, looks like NYC/NJ got walloped pretty good ... haven't heard from QBrees9 with a CT/NH report, but I guess there's a lot of power outages.

Pretty ugly. I just keep thinking if that were a CAT3 there would have been 10-20K dead in those big cities. The stock exchange would have been 20ft under water. It could have been much much worse.
