Another thing that gets overlooked is the processing. When people think of Photoshop they think of funny pictures or fakes. That's not what it's made for though. Here's an example of both my points. original ![]() After post processing. ![]() First point is that I wouldn't have been able to crop as small a portion of the picture if the camera wasn't a 15 megapixel camera. (Lately there has been a trend to downplay the importance of MP count. That's because it was overemphasized by a lot of people but it is definitely a factor.) Second is that Photoshop is a serious tool and the fact that you can edit your pictures without having to work in a dark room with a lot of expensive equipment and materials is what makes digital photography so revolutionary. I grew up with a camera in my hand but it was such a pain in the *** to get a decent print that I gave it up for almost 40 years. It's been in just the last 5 years that I rediscovered one of my first loves. One day I'll get good at it. |
