Wow, what a poor sport/jerk. Had I been on that team, I would have skated him down and kicked his ass before he could leave the ice, aka 'Happy Gilmour' style. WTF is wrong with kids these days?

One parent quoted in the Independent report says Krause "got the shaft," as coaches this season played younger players in preparation for the team's debut in the South Suburban Conference next year. But the stats don't show that Krause was clearly superior to his sophomore competition. From the Independent:
Krause played 492 minutes in goal this season and had a record of 5-4-1 as the starter. His goals-against average was 2.8 and he stopped 87.7 percent of opponents' shots. Sophomore Gage Overby has logged about 548 minutes while earning a 5-5 record, a 2.42 goals-against average and a 90.1 save percentage.

Sounds to me like the classic high school athletics situation where you have a talented underclassman the coach wants to develop in anticipation of losing his senior athletes. Looks like the goalies were pretty evenly matched in ability, each had played 10 games up to that point and the coach gave the senior the nod for the "Senior's Night" game ... I'm siding with the coach on this one, :mrgreen:.

They are pretty serious about thier high school hockey in Minnesota, though. Kind of like Texas with their high school football, :lol:.

I'm with you. The problem i have with it some, of the player were ok with it.
