Phil has his right to free speech and A&E has it's right to act in its perceived best interest to protect its investment.

Neither are in the wrong. I don't happen to agree with what happened but it was not wrong.

The comments the two gay guys on Storage War made in response is more disturbing to me:

I dont care what people do in there own lives in regard to their sexualituly, it has nothing to do with me.

Now thats out the way, cant people just grow sone thicker skin.Some people dont like your life style be it because you're gay or conservative whatever.Surely if you are comfortable with your own life you can brush off others opinions and there right to voice them. Some many people just seem to be waiting to be offended these days.Thank God these people didn't hang round locker rooms or my work office.
Ill make jokes about anyone or anything, some admittedly very sick as im sure most of them have and only around like minded people who do the same but at the same time im more than happy to be the brunt of any wisecracks.

GQ knew exactly what they were doing when they asked Phil about his thoughts on homosexuality. It was a "Trap" for him to fall into. The evilness of this world doesn't want "Duck Dynasty" types of shows. The thing that A&E, GQ, G&L groups, Liberals and other "You better think like we think" organizations fail to realize is that; the Duck Commander people were rich before the TV show (and by rich I don't mean in money, alone) and they will be rich long after the TV show.

I have gay friends. They know my beliefs about it. What he said would be just about the same thing that would come out of my mouth. The problem I have with A&E is that they jumped to "Ban" Phil because a few people took offense. A&E sure doesn't have a problem taking the money that Phil has made for them. I haven't noticed A&E pulling all of it's products that has Phil's likeness from the shelves.

I won't go off on a "preaching" tagent. But if you can't see that this is Evil vs Christians; I will be praying, not only for you, but the rest of us as well.

I agree totally. Duck Dynasty was becoming an empire, a much too powerful empire that focussed on religion and family, running counter to what Hollywood and Washington have been selling for the last 20 years.

I don't have as much problem with the actions of A&E as much as I do with the hypocrisy of what I'm seeing.

Maybe if Alec Baldwin can come on his show and cuss out a few homosexuals this would all just go away.

And same for TheOak. If anything the gay progressives should be ticked off because their "agenda" was highjacked by A&E to boost ratings and attention to the show over this crap. And those who supported Phil should be upset too.

Lots of people making money from this joke of a non-issue. Interesting how this sprang up the moment a Duck Dynasty re-run festival was happening on A&E over the holidays too. What a joke.
