Metal has always been snubbed by the mainstream. I can't tell you for sure any artist I have in my collection who has actually won a grammy.

Musicians are not entertainers, entertainment is a precipitant of their art. Entertainers are not artists, they mimic artists and appeal to the tasteless.

As a rule of thumb, I like my musicians like I like my mechanics. Ugly as sin and extremely talented.

Brian May, Jimmy Hendricks, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Malmsteen, Vai, BB King, Waters..... Masters of their craft.
