After the game and the numerous gimme goals we missed at the end, all I could think was Landon Donovan USAs all time World Cup goal scorer makes those shots. Numerous players on the roster never played. I'm not saying he shoulda started but we sure coulda used him in those final 20 min. That being said at my high school the top 20 fastest kids in my school did not play soccer. I'm sure this is common. Until we get Calvin Johnson to play goalie, Deion Sanders to play fullback , Reggie Bush and Desean Jackson to play striker, we will not be a factor in soccer. Furthermore Americans don't wanna watch a. 90 min game with zero scoring. Soccer could be fixed by eliminating the offsides rule. Scoring would increase dramatically and so would it's popularity. Ok I'm exhausted enough soccer talk. When does football start?
