WOW.....just wow.....

I hope everyone watched the opening episode because I was completely blown away by it and would love to hear everyone's opinion.

Firstly, very subtle - when the cast were put in front of the trough and those guys were slitting peoples throats, did anyone recognise the young blonde lad, he and rick both stared at eachother for a while.
Then I realised, the episode where Rick left Carol in the village after he found out she had killed those two ill people at the prison, they met two teenagers, the girl got ate but the boy was never seen again. That was him. I recognised him immediately, especially when he and rick recognised eachother.

Rick has gone full beast mode! I loved the scene where those two butchers were arguing and he shouts LOOK AT ME! the guy then turns around and rick pops up out of nowhere with a wooden shiv and goes to town on them!

amazing episode! did everyone watch until after the credits? very big SPOILER HERE if not.

Morgans back, and he started following a trail on a marking left on a tree.

Could the survivors of terminus be following rick and the group, could Morgan still be insane and still blame rick for his son dying a few seasons back.

Thoughts everyone??

Glad Rick and Tyrese are back into beast mode. Also awesome Carol is back with the group, she is hard core also. No mention of Beth in the first episode or the second episode teaser, I'm sure it's coming.

Slo Mo, Gotham lost me in the first episode unfortunatley.

Yeah, Gotham is so/so ... I like the backdrops, the scenery & looking for similarities in what I know from the old DC comics ... but my site finally posted WD Season 5, so I got to see the preview, :) ... Carol has become quite the guerilla fighter, I see, :lol:. If her & Darryl wind up getting together & having a kid, it is gonna' be one cold-hearted, butt-kicking s.o.b., :lol:.

The Terminus Group is more dangerous, IMO, than even the Governor, and I didn't like how the rest of the Group overruled Rick on going back and finishing them off. They are gonna' be trouble down the road.

I spent the whole episode looking for Morgan to return, :lol: ... forgot how they'll put that little twist into the storyline the last few seconds of an episode ... he looked kinda' intensely focused on something & I gotta' agree with Dizzle88, he's probably still crazy and back for revenge, da-da-da ... the plot thickens, :).

Wow the episodes just get better and better, really enjoying season 5 so far

Rick is absolutely brutal!!! Not going to lie though, that terminus jerk deserved the machete to the face after everything he's done!!

The series has taken a very dark turn and so has rick Grimes, try and remember what he tried to be like in seasons 1 and 2 and its nearly impossible to believe its the same guy

Can't wait to see what comes out of the woods, and WTF happened to Beth.

I can see Carl turning all badass on us by season's end.

Am I a bad person for wanting Rick to brutally torture that Terminus guy before he killed him? I was hoping for a bat to the head then the throat cut like they did at Terminus.

I'm not a big fan of the red head militia guy and his crew. I was hoping Bob stayed around, I liked his character.

It was an awesome moment when Carol came out of the woods and Daryl just ran over and hugged her, not a single word spoken. Awesome.

I have a feeling Daryl is gonna kick some major ass when we finally discover what happened to Beth. No mercy at all.

And what was up with the Morgan tease 2 episodes ago? Did I miss something?

Haha there's nothing wrong with wanting that terminus guy tortured, He's lucky rick ended so quickly, Besides shooting his fingers off first anyway

The whole scene was intense, only hearing rick's voice as he comes out of the shadows.

The biggest FU was what he said to Gareth, "You didn't kill us so that must of meant something right?" to which Rick replies "We didn't want to waste the bullets..."

Yeah agreed with the carol part, she was completely badass in the first episode, Rick got choked up knowing she did all that to save a guy that banished her from the group originally.

The Directors are famous for doing that, making you like a character and then suddenly killing him off.
I hated merle for the full season until he teamed up with the prison and went to kill the governor on his own, then he died.
Same with bob, I was happy he and sasha were together.

Daryl hasn't done much so far this season but I feel that may change pretty soon, looking forward to seeing where Beth ended up and if he found her.

Still waiting on Morgan to come back, it surely can't be long until he arrives, it was shown 2 episodes ago after all lol

Daryl's becoming my favorite character. You can tell he's one of those people who view close friends as if they were family. We've all know that type in our lives. The guy who'd fight a grizzly bear if that what it took to save a friend. I love his character.

I wonder who abducted Beth? Is it a new group of villians or some old ones who are back?

Definitely, He became my favourite character since season 2.
He was still a bit of an outcast then, but he searched for Carols missing daughter night and day whilst the others stood around arguing with each other.

One person was right from the start and that was shane, in season 2 he said "the officer friendly role won't keep you alive in this world, people like me survive because we do what we have to"

Now obviously shane didn't survive but Rick has turned into the character that Shane was talking about.

I think that Priest is still hiding something, the car that abducted Beth had the holy cross on the back of it.

Wow, I totally missed that connection. Thats probably why he's been so cryptic. I'll bet he's working with (or for) someone else and hes hiding it from the group.

Yeah, I got that impression as well when they went all banzai on the the Terminus group in the church, :shock: ... no more "Mr. Nice Guy" for Rick, I'm afraid, :cool:. I'm gonna' have to go back and separate which characters did the banzaing and which characters seemed to display a shock/possible slight disapproval at the group's new m.o. as it may cause a split later in the script.

Was glad they eliminated the Terminus bad guys & didn't drag them out after seeing a season or two of the Governor. Wasn't real happy with the whole "Glenn/Maggie getting on the bus to DC" thing, but was glad to see Michonne reunited with her sword, :) ... and how 'bout when Bob revealed to the cannibals he'd been bitten and they were eating 'tainted meat', :lol: ... oh man, what a scene & just in time for Halloween.

It is getting better with each episode.

The problem is that I can practically watch the Walking Dead between NFL commercials, penalties and plays under review.

And College ball is just as bad.

Its starting to make baseball look action-packed.


BTW: the last 2 episodes of TWD have been pretty weak. I'm hoping it picks up some steam.

The SNF, MNF, and TNF games this season, with the exception of a few, have been total blowouts so bad they're embarrassing.

Ever WE got wiped at the cowgirls in PrimeTime and turned around a few weeks later and RAPED the Packers and Panthers. So many lopsided games. The Scam Newton Carolina game was so embarrassing last night I could hardly watch. Remember the Bears getting destroyed in primetime earlier this year?

Who keeps scheduling the GIANTS? I wouldn't schedule them until last 1/3rd of the season when their Vicodin and Hydrocodone injections start kicking in.

sorry I'm late to the party.

I told my wife at the start of this season that mullet man was not a scientist. She said "what makes you think that?". I said he was a super nerd and knew a lot of stuff but couldn't defend/take care of himself and the "Army" guy was just a dumb brute who needed a "mission". I KNEW IT!

Didn't see him sabotaging the vehicle. Anyway; YES, it's been a brutal season. Didn't care for the "Beth" episode but it's needed. Waiting for Morgan to return is too much. I hope they don't wait til the last episode.

Good call ... how did you figure that out? I knew where Abraham (army guy) was coming from, but always kinda' assumed Eugene (mullet guy) was the real deal. "Human Genome Project" ... yep, sounded pretty legit to me, :).

The "Beth" episode left me kinda', "meh" ... guess they needed some filler/content for upcoming episodes, <shrug>. Beth can't carry an episode & I hope they don't try that again anytime soon. It was nice to see the "Everyone hates Chris" kid finally get another role, :lol:.

I'm starting to wonder what Rick & the gang are doing back at the church ... :neutral:

Just little things about Eugene said to me that he wasn't really "The Savior". When he wouldn't explain the cure to the others, when they were locker in the boxcar. When he didn't know how to shoot the M4 and shot the gas tank. When he was explaining how the cure would work (in the last episode) and Abraham went from smiling to a look of "WTH did he just say?" (as if he had contradicted himself to what Eugene had told him before).

Eugene just seems like the uber-nerd who is on the internet all day, believing/researching in Government conspiracies and knows a lot of senceless trivia.

I take it that what stopped the D.Cer's was a landscape of walkers. I really couldn't tell. If that's the case; he knew his lie had gotten way out of hand and was about to get him killed. He's starting to realize/learn how to defend himself but he can't do it by himself just yet. hince the water hose and the spitting on the dead zombie he killed.

Can't wait for tonight. Hope it goes back to the church, but I have a feeling it's about Carol and Beth.

Ok. Not a bad episode. Daryl is slowly but surely pull Carol back into the loving person she used to be. Daryl keeps losing the women in his life. I look for Daryl and Carol to finally hook up.

I don't see the new guy lasting an entire season.

I'm still an NFL fan, but now it has to be a meaningful game, or a team I hate, or a back and forth nail biter.

I became bored with fantasy football after 20 years and perhaps others are as well. I know I used to be glued to every game because of players involved in my winning or losing that week.

Ok, Walking Dead-heads, there's some football games scheduled for Sunday, but don't forget to prep for the mid-season finale as well! It's promising to be a tear-jerker to rival last season's and, after losing the ratings war (I blame Beth, ;)) with SNF last week https://tv.yahoo.com/news/weekly-rat...132533498.html, should propel the Sunday night drama back into first place, :) ... and hey, what the heck happened to Morgan? They reintroduce him at the beginning of the season and then leave us hanging? Guess that's what they refer to as, "building suspense", ;).

SloMo's TWD Upset Pick of the Week: Morgan comes back to kill Carol, Beth or Carl ... or worse, maybe Judith ... but a cast member that you'll cry over.

Well, not as traumatic as predicted because justice was immediately served by Darryl plugging that Dawn character in the forehead, IMO, but still a bit of a surprise nonetheless ... just when they're developing Beth's character, they off her, :sad: ... first Hershel, then Beth ... you gotta' wonder if Maggie's gonna' survive the Season 6 mid-season finale, :neutral:.

Liked how the cavalry arrived to the church in the form of the fire truck ... reminded me not to complain about paying my property taxes, ;) ... that preacher's got to go, IMO ... watching Michonne slice & dice walkers with her katana and the efficiency of a Ronco Veg-O-Matic remains my favorite part of the show, :).

Now what's the plan? Eugene's a liar, there's no Washington D.C, they're not staying with the hospital group, the church's been overrun ... is our group doomed to wander the wilderness? And what's going on in the rest of the world? Has Australia been overrun? The Artic? Hawaii? I'm thinking that somehow the island populations of the world avoid this catastrophe and are the real "Washington D.C." ... tune in the next half season, :).

I caught myself *Gasping":awe: when Beth took one to the dome.

I didn't think anything would happen to Carl or Judith. "Our Lady of the Sword" was protecting them.:lightsabre:

I remember the CDC guy saying that the zombie virus had spread worldwide. I could be wrong in saying that. We'll just have to watch that episode during the New Years marathon.

As far as what the group is going to do now..... I don't have the foggiest. They've got to get out of ATL and find a place to hold up at. They really need to find another farm.
Real questions:
1. Are the cops going to leave Rick and them alone?:handguns:
2. Who is the next threat?
3. What is Morgan's state of mind? Did Ricks words sink in or is he hunting Rick down?
4. What is the group going to do with Eugene?:nutkick:

As far as Maggie and Beth; Maggie never showed any concern about where Beth was. Hell, she left to go with the D.C. group before she even knew what happened to her sister. (My wife has been harping on that since Terminus:argue:)

As in past fall finales, last night’s The Walking Dead saw the death of a major character and the survivors confronting some of their worst fears. The Season 5 midseason ender also saw the AMC zombie apocalypse not only break its own records but tackle Sunday Night Football for the fifth time this season. In a season that has seen the show based on the Robert Kirkman co-created comic series smash through one record after another, last night’s WD was watched by 14.8 million, with 9.6 million among adults 18-49.

That’s a strong double-digit rise of 23% and 24% from the 12.1 million total viewers and 7.7 million in the key demo who tuned in for the Season 4 midseason finale last December 1. That episode was WD’s previous midseason record holder. The all-time record holder the AMC series is the Season 5 premiere of October 12 that drew 17.3 million total viewers and 11 million adults 18-49. I think this is the most recent, but yeah, I know what you mean ... maybe because there was more participation in the "Resurrected" thread? Anyway, I'm have a hard time viewing the second half of Season 5 ... my online source (which was pretty reliable) quit carrying the current season of Walking Dead and I was picking up viruses from the other ones, so I'm relegated to reading reviews. :(

Update: They went PC, picked up a couple homosexuals and of course had to show them swapping spit and expressing undying love for each other.

I'm guessing a wheelchair bound gun control transsexual Muslim senior citizen without affordable healthcare is obviously coming up on the next episode.

So what did everyone think about the latest episode?

Did you notice like I did how the group are fooling the people of Alexandria?

Carol pretending to be the motherly figure who misses her "darling" husband Ed (same guy that beat her senseless and abused her and Sophia)
How meakly she put the gun down too, as soon as they walked off with all their guns and Carol and Rick made eye contact her face dropped.

One point that I thought was very interesting was made by one of my friends this week...

What if Rick and the group are really the bad guys now? Sure they are the main characters and are doing what it takes to survive, but it truly sounds like Rick is saying "This town will do stuff our way or we'll get rid of them all"

I can seriously see something kicking off with Glenn and that Aiden guy, which may force rick to run around guns blazing....possibly alienating half of his group in the process.

Carl cannot adjust to teenage life again, those teens are weak, You could see Rick and Carl missed the whole "fight for survival every day" when they were killing the walkers and looked proud of it.

On the video tape of Rick he kept saying "You do not let outsiders in here, because they see your weaknesses and will look to exploit them." Could he have been talking about his group exploiting the people of Alexandria's weaknesses?
When the woman asks "are you saying I shouldn't have let you in here?" Rick goes silent and doesn't answer...
