Pacquiao v Mayweather May 2

Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao analysis - LA Times

IMO the last great fight in boxing that hasn't happened. It might be 4 years late but better than never at all

Id rather it didnt happen.
Mayweather has waited until Pacquiao skill and stamina have started to slip before agreeing to the fight. Pacquiao that beat Cotto had a great chance of winning in a real 50/50 fight but he isnt that fighter anymore. He needed his stamina and aggression to throw non stop for 36 minutes but he doesnt have it. Mayweather wins a comfortable decision while keeping his legacy intact but waiting for a declining fighter again

Yeah, Pacquiao's got too much other stuff going on his life now to effectively train for this one ... politics, the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association), et ... besides being past his prime. Oh well, Manny's just gonna' have to knock him out early I guess, ... ey-yi-yi, I don't know what to think about this one.

Agreed, this Manny/Floyd fight is a cash cow only.

Re: Pacquiao v Mayweather May 2

Yep, by a couple years ... that's why I sorta' don't understand the whole, "Mayweather waited until Pacquiao got old to fight him" theory, but then on the other hand, I do. Maybe Mayweather has aged more gracefully and stayed in better shape? Who knows ... they're both probably the two baddest almost-40's on the planet, :).

LAS VEGAS – The identity of the best fighter of this generation was never really in doubt.

Oh, some wanted to contest Floyd Mayweather's position as the best boxer of his time and made points of varying strength about the quality of his opposition, the timing of some of his bigger fights and what was perceived as an unwillingness to engage.

Mayweather, though, erased whatever little doubt that remained with an unquestionable victory over Manny Pacquiao on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden in a match which was as much about the incredible sums of money it generated as it was about the talent of the fighters.

Judge Dave Moretti had it 10 rounds to two, or 118-110 for Mayweather. Judges Glenn Feldman and Burt Clements each saw it 116-112, giving Mayweather eight of the 12 rounds. Yahoo Sports had it 115-113 for Mayweather ... read more: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/floyd-m...39-boxing.html

So, anyone watch this one? Past my bedtime, :D ... American Pharaoh won the Kentucky Derby though, saw that, :) ... Rangers tied up their second round NHL playoff series, that was on at a decent hour, :) ... can't find any decent highlight links to the fight either, other than the one in the above link. Undoubtedly they're gonna' milk every cent outta' this one that they can,.

Manny feels as if he did enough to win the fight ... IDK, prior to the fight he was out doing interviews, socializing, et ... while you never seen Mayweather. It was reminiscent of Rocky vs Clubber Lang. I was in the Pacquiao camp having lived in the Philippines for 7-8yrs, but Mayweather does appear to take his boxing a little more serious,.

Nope
By all acount went down like a lead vallon and exactly how i said it would. Fire went out of Pac-Mans belly long time back.

Have no love for a egomaniac with a repeated history of beating up woman

This fight was one of the worst displays of boxing ever. Floyd looked/fought scared the whole time. An pac I dunno I guess he thought he would win because Floyd was running the whole time.
