Maureen O'Hara, spirited movie star, dies at 95
I loved me some Maureen O'Hara!
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Maureen O'Hara, the flame-haired Irish movie star who appeared in classics ranging from the grim "How Green Was My Valley" to the uplifting "Miracle on 34th Street" and bantered unforgettably with John Wayne in several films has died. She was 95. O'Hara died in her sleep at her home in Boise, Idaho, said Johnny Nicoletti, her longtime manager. Maureen O'Hara, spirited movie star, dies at 95 |

Aw, no way! She was one of the screen sirens from my youth! McClintock, The Quiet Man and Long Gray Line are played all the time on the old movie channels here and there was a pirate movie I remember her being in that I always liked. She sure was a classic, didn't realize she was that old. Believe it or not, my Mom could do her hair and look just like Maureen (sans red) ... maybe that's why I liked her movies so much, :).
