Know your settings and scoring system. You can place them here and we can help you if you are confused about anything.
Your top 5 picks should be home run hitters. Leave those high risk picks for later. Get consistent production from week to week is golden. Read up on sleepers. More often than not, the back end of your draft will be the determining factor how far you go. Don't abandon ship early and be patient. Some guys take a little more time to get it going. Don't make a mistake and give up on a guy with a solid track record early for the new flavor of the week. Be active on the waiver wire. Guys like Peyton Hillis and Steve Johnson just to name a couple... played big dividends for fantasy teams last year off the waiver wire. Don't trust rookies to be the core of your team. As much hype as they come with, they are still rookies. More often than not, they'll disappoint. Have fun. I've played FF for a long time, it's random as hell. Don't be discouraged if you don't know much about fantasy. As the season goes along, you'll find yourself surfing the net more and glued to sportscenter. You'll get better. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |
