Cooks
I should know how our own team will use him but is he worth it to jump on in 9th round for a WR3?

Re: Cooks
I am predicting Cooks to put up numbers similar to Julio Jones. I know this is a bold prediction but I am greatly taking into account who is throwing him the ball and who is valling the plays. Reggie Bush had 90 catches as a rookie. I wouldnt let Cooks go past the third or fouth round. He is not a WR3 either. He will lead the Saints WR receiving yardage for sure as well as start every game.

I think 80 catches 800-900 yards with 6-7 touchdowns are realistic expectations. If he breaks a few long ones, he'll go over 1,000 yards. |
Re: Cooks
The only other saints fan in the league is McLaughlin(from ESPN) and he's appearing to be a no show this year as I have heard nothing from him. I'm thinking he might be deployed. But thats another topic and a bit off topic.

Re: Cooks
While I love Cooks and i know the Saints have a track record of bringing along rookie receivers quickly but I just don't like picking rookie receivers until late rounds

Easy answer is - Yes!!! :bng:

Re: Cooks
Oh well the other saints guy showed up so he may be drafting tomorrow. I may have to pass on him. I have Rodgers as keeper and will need to go after Murray, Bell, Lacy, or AP in rd 2, probably get a WR in rd 3 between Jeffery and Cobb, and then Gore in rd 4, before hoping I land Patterson in 5 or DJac. If neither are there then I will get Cooks. I may go Gore in 3 and take Patterson instead of Cobb and then get DJac or Cooks in 5. I'd be taking a big ballsy risk on him there.

This dude is Steve Smith gone Super Saiyan.

Re: Cooks
The name that keeps me up when it comes to drafting is Cooks... and then Andre Williams.... I think any squad with these two around them is gonna be magical....
