What are your feelings on the Last Jedi?

I did like it. More humor then normal which both - added (in places) & detracted (in places).

The addition of some cute animal which is totally a marketing ploy.

Ruined - for a 19 year ld, totally ruined Return of the Jedi with the addition of those damn ewok teddy bear POS's!!

First, glad someone has started this group. I'm a huge movie buff.

Onto to Star Wars - Last Jedi. This was by far my least favorite SW movie, or at least tied for least favorite. I thought the "science" was sketchy in the movie, especially in the first "bombing" scene, the Leia/Marry Poppins moment was pathetic and laughable, along with several other terrible plot flaws that were unforgivable. Acting was terrible at parts and they did no justice to Mark Hamil and Luke Skywalker. The new director and project director was definitely a person who wanted to do things just because it could be done and not because it did anything for the story. There was no real struggle in the movie because the story missed several elements of solid writing and story telling.

I'm glad to expand further but wanted to start there.
