Guido's Son Gets Album Deal
 

Yup! Brady Blade, owner of Blade Studios here in Shreveport, invited my son and a couple of his band mates by the studio a couple of weeks ago and loved what he heard. He told Cameron, my son, that "he could kick Ed Sheeran's ass in a singing competition" and that he would be excited to produce an album for them. It will be four of Cameron's originals and one Macie Gray cover of their choice. Brady obviously knows Macie well. They will be working on the EP over the next couple of months.

They will be recording as 3Dogs and Brady said he could make them a hit in Europe. He has had several successful new artists over the past couple years in foreign markets. Brady used to play drums for Emmylou Harris, Jewel, Indigo Girls and Dave Matthews, among several others. He knows his talent. His brother, Bennie, has won multiple Grammys as a jazz drummer.

Here's three of his songs recorded as Red River Son on Reverbnation. Jealousy will be one of the songs on the EP.

Cameron just talked with Brady a couple of days ago. Brady just moved to Sweden (his wife's home) a couple of weeks ago and said he'll be back for the recording sessions in July. It is most likely going to be available via iTunes first. The latest name of the group (still fluid) is Cameron Merrell and the Love Dragons. That way Cameron can do work solo or with other back-up bands and his group can do their own thing, as well.
