Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians: Antonio Brown 'no longer a Buc' after WR rips off equipment, runs off field during third quarter
A source told ESPN that Brown was not benched. "He quit," the source said. He did not fly home on the team charter, according to another source.
Teammates Mike Evans and O.J. Howard attempted to calm Brown, who took off his jersey, pads and undershirt, throwing his shirt and gloves into the stands. He then dashed across the end zone while both teams were on the field and waved to fans as he went to the locker room. Arians told Fox Sports after the game that he was trying to get Brown to go into the game and he refused, twice, as Arians told him to "get out." Arians added to Fox Sports on Brown's taking off his equipment: "Never seen anything like that in all my years."https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32979872/tampa-bay-buccaneers-wr-antonio-brown-rips-equipment-runs-field-midgame |

Here's my take: AB is a nutcase. If the reason he ran off the field was for anything other than Bruce Arians purposely preventing him from reaching his incentives, then there is no excuse. Some people have suggested that this may have been the reason that AB exploded, and if it was the reason and he had a good rationale to go along with it, I would have been pretty pissed off too. We'll never know what really happen. Most likely AB is just crazy.

AB cleared waivers last week. His last football game will be remembered as letting his coaches and teammates down.
No NFL team will ever call again. Brown needs professional help, not football. |
