Ban of Slit Film turf.

This is what the Saints play on. I'd like to see the statistics on this. But, unless the league forces the issue I don't see teams changing their playing surface.

Isn't it the same turf as before in 2009?

Maybe it's old and needs replacing. Isn't it part of the billion $ renovation?

They replace the turf surface with new turf every year. It is the same brand, however.

Might help explain why we always seem to have around a dozen or so guys on our injury reports every week, and other teams' injury reports always seem to have only 3 or 4.

Not sure what reports you've been looking at. Here's last week's injury report for all 16 games. Most teams had a dozen or more players listed. Only the Falcons and Colts had fewer than six players listed. I believe only four teams had fewer than nine players listed.

What are the injury stats while playing at home?

Apparently the injuries on turf were really back this year. If I remember right the average is like 15-20% more injuries on turf. But it fluctuates so when you happen to get years of 20% more, 10% more, 5% more the NFL issues a press release that the difference has diminished and is not statistically significant, then when it goes back up to 20-30% the next year they don't release the numbers.

Lots of things are inconvenient for RG to own up to. :biggun:
