Hoping Hamlin will pull through and his life is saved. Football can wait. It crossed my mind that they should consider pushing the NFL schedule back a whole week and take a bye week now, instead of having the pre-Super Bowl bye week.

The problem would be with the venues. Out of the 16 locations I would guess several of them could be contracted to host other events in one form or another the following week. More than anything else it's these other money makers scheduled throughout the season months, or years, in advance that dictate the final NFL schedule.

All week 18 games are scheduled to go on as previously slated. The resumption (if any) of the Bills/Bengals game has not yet been decided.
