Harrison was a hard hitter? he was ok... My dad would tell you to "go google Jack Tatum" film.

Different game back then though ...

In my lifetime the hardest hitter was Ronnie Lott. Next would be Steve Atwater and then John Lynch.

Was going to mention Lott, as well. I've heard other players say the hardest they've ever been hit was by Lott.

All greats ... and also would not be allowed under today's wussified rules. Same goes for the Dome Patrol.

Players were far more disposable back then. However, it would also been called "wussified" as compared to the earliest years of the game. Forty players were killed in the college game during the 1931 season alone.
