Honestly, who would you prefer in the playoffs. A weak armed Brett Favre at that point or Brees? I would REALLY be worried about Favre losing steam in the late part of the season and playoffs if I were a Vikes fan.

Not really Favre you have to worry about. Its AP and a wicked pass rush. Trust me, the Vikings are tailor made (at this point of the season anyway) to knock us right on our undefeated arses!

their stats are completely misleading.....they lead the league in sacks because they've played the packers twice already......their defensive line is probably the best in the league, but nearly all of those sacks came from the packers games and aaron rodgers is the most sacked QB in the league right now

i wouldnt be worried one bit about playing the vikings.....however, playing the patriots and the colts worries me a little.....any team that can keep up with our offense will give us a good fight.....otherwise they are bound to screw up and our defense is bound to make them pay for it

brett favre is the all time leader in interceptions......darren sharper has the most all time interceptions for any active defensive player......now thats a recipe for success

With his career attempts being over 9500...what would you expect. I imagine he is the all-time leader in just about every category...be it good or bad. Not a very good argument, IMO.

there are many more efficient passers in NFL history regardless of their pass attempts.....brett favre has never been overly accurate and is known as a "gun slinger" which is pretty much summed up as throwin the ball all over the field with little regard for how the ball ends up

he'll put the ball into play regardless of whether its a smart decision or not and because its a gamble, it has resulted in both good and bad turnouts

however, that is not the recipe for success when the game is on the line......you want to have a smart QB making smart decisions rather than a "gun slinger" putting the ball into play just for the sake of getting the ball downfield

ive been thinking about a potential SAINTS/VIKES matchup..here are my thoughts for what they r worth..

the williams boys vs nicks/goodwin/evans....we win
bushrod/streif vs jarrod allen...allen is scary good and i believe reggie is gonna make him keep containment with the threat of the screen..
our ability to stop(slow down) AP is the key to a saints win

The only teams the Vikings have played, that are play off worthy this year, are Pitt, who they lost too, Baltimore, who they beat by two points, and Green Bay. Look at the rest of their schedule, and I challenge you to find me a team, besides Green Bay, that have a top ten offense, or offensive line. Cleveland, St. louis, Seattle, Detroit (twice), Chicago (who are dreadful this year) Seven out of their 10 wins are against below .500 teams, and none are "known" for their offensive lines mind you.

We are playing the NFC East, and the AFC East, which I believe both of those divisions, overall are better than the NFC West, and the AFC North. Pittsburgh or not. Statistically, I know they are better.

Are the Vikings a good team, yes, but if you compare strength of schedule, to the fact that we have THE NUMBER ONE OFFENSE IN THE LEAGUE, then the idea that they are better than us, really makes no sense to me, and shouldn't to anyone else. Look at the schedules, and compare the teams played, the scores, and the overall stats, and see if you don't agree.
