Pro Bowl ratings up
ESPN's telecast on Sunday night was the most-watched Pro Bowl in 10 years, the network announced.
The game drew about 12.3 million viewers, the most since the 2000 game on ABC. Viewership was up 40 percent from the 8.8 million who watched last year on NBC. . . . Janet Napolitano toured Super Bowl facilities and the accompanying operations. "I don't think we've ever had that, where we've had a secretary of homeland security come on site," said Milt Ahlerich, the NFL's vice president of security. . . . The Chicago Bears hired Mike Martz as offensive coordinator. The NFL plans to return it back to Hawaii to it's normal time though, but how long will that last once they compare the ratings against this year's Pro Bowl and Next year's pro bowl? I think the NFL is testing the waters here a bit but i think they may finally be having the Pro Bowl Permanently inland in the near future. What do ya'll think? |
Re: Pro Bowl ratings up
The ratings, divided up regionally.... showed one thing clearly.
The Louisiana market watched that game far more than most other regions. I attribute that to jonesing, but that is merely a guess. Demographers crunch more than me. |

Re: Pro Bowl ratings up
I agree with UK.
They have been wanting to move in to mainland for some time now to save a LOT of $$ I think no matter what happened that the NFL would have put a positive spin on it. All month long on sirius NFL every commentator had been selling how great an idea it was. One guy even said it was great the superbowl folks couldnt play so we could see some new talent in thye pro bowl! hahahaha |
