Vick: "I want to play for the Panthers."
 

by Mike Florio on March 2, 2010 2:47 PM ET Though Eagles quarterback Mike Vick has been trying his best to say all the right things regarding his destination for the 2010 season -- even if it means staying put in Philly -- Vick recently slipped off message during an interview with an Atlanta radio station.

Asked where he'd like to play, Vick made a choice.

"If I could play for any team in the league, it would probably be two teams, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers," Vick said, via Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer.

(Vick never identifies the other team.)

The reasons? "Well, you know, it's close to home," Vick said. "I like the uniforms. You get to play against Atlanta twice a year. Ain't nothing better than playing against your former team, right? So, yeah, that would be a good look, it would be a good look."

vick will not stand in a pocket....he played well in atlanta because their line was terrible.....

unfortunately thats how carolinas line is right now.......he would be a terror with that running game and steve smith getting open

im with scott.....dont want to see him for 2 more games every season

As far as I'm concerned, he can go play for Oakland. I really don't give a sh*t where he plays. I care as much about where he goes as I do where T.O. goes.

I think you should give a sh**(but not when you are in the shower with Drew). Vick always played well against us, going back to the days when his idiot cousin was cheerleading for him

Vick is 5-5 all-time as a starter QB against the Saints, and that includes the 2005 season. The last 2 games Vick played against the Saints in 2006, he lost. His last 2 years with Vick as a starter, the Falcons went 8-8 (2005) and 7-9 (2006). In both years, everyone complained Vick didn't have decent receivers (Roddy White, Michael Jenkins), then Matt Ryan comes into town, Jenkins looks great and White goes to the ProBowl.
..and we are talking 4 years since Vick started at QB.

I'd love to see Vick go to the Panthers, but is not going to happen. Not the type of QB Fox likes.

Philly is going to pick up his option, and pay the bonus. He's staying in Philly. Was reported earlier today.

They are keeping him for a reason. I wouldn't be surprised to see McNabb in a different uniform, before the start of next season.

FYI, Micheal Vick isn't my number one priority. So, no I shouldn't give a sh*t. If he wants to go to the Panthers, good for him. I, on the other hand, don't care. I'm too busy worrying about who's going to stay or go in New Orleans. If he were saying, "I wanna play for the Saints" then this would be a different story.

And what does my avatar have to do with me caring about what team he plays for?! I don't make snarky comments on other people's opinions based on their half naked chick pictures. That was a little uncalled for.

Although Delhomme is a hometown local (Louisiana) Carolina does need a new QB. Sorry Delhomme u're just not getting the job done. Carolina has so much potential. BEST RB DUO IN THE LEAGUE!!
