THE STREAK IS OVER!!

297.

ESPN and NFL Network both reporting Brett Favre will be inactive tonight.

Gotta say, I'm truly shocked. I didn't think his ego would let this happen.

WhoDat!656 12-13-2010 05:07 PM

And his career!!

ESPN will probably start a Every Game Brett Favre Started marathon

They're already running memorial services on ESPN. It's nauseating.

dizzle88 12-13-2010 05:26 PM

What they showed over the weekend wasn't the metro dome roof collapsing it was Brett Favres ego bursting!! Let's hope this will he or won't he retire is over soon, had enough of him and I'm proud to say we dealt the final blow in the NFCCG lol

st thomas 12-13-2010 05:31 PM

wonder if he hangs around or goes deer hunting

skymike 12-13-2010 05:31 PM

Wow, that is a big shock BF27. I cant believe all the powers in charge are allowing this. I'll bet they think the world is gonna collapse now.

Poor Vikings. Their coach, their QB, even the roof falls in.

I like Brett Favre, Im just tired of the media fixation, and I hate to see him go down in such a sad way. It would have been nice if he had retired after that great game with us last year.

I'll tell you something good about Brett Favre. He sure makes some good pants. Im wearing his pants now. They are just perfect. If you are a middle aged man, not as skinny as you were when you were 17, and you have a big butt, some belly, thighs, and some various male anatomy parts-- these britches are made for you! I could sleep in these pants--- they are so comfortable.

These are the perfect middle aged man pants, and you almost dont get the "old man" look from them, and they even have "ballroom." I love these pants.

Now if I could just find somewhere where they sell socks that still go up to your knees.

Does make you curious if he will finish the season? That's if Frasier will still start him or go with Jackson?

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEBODY SHOOT ME NOW.

neugey 12-13-2010 06:01 PM

I'm with Larry Fitzgerald, I still can't believe it til I see it. Perhaps all of the other Vikings QB's will come down with pneumonia and Favre will be granted an emergency exemption from the league to start the game.

CashAndFlash 12-13-2010 06:05 PM

I'm wearing camoflauge wranglers right now.

Srgt. Hulka 12-13-2010 06:07 PM

Well, you can forget about watching MNF tonight. It's going to be 3 hour of Brett Faaaaavvvra.

Pete 12-13-2010 06:12 PM

It's all over but the crying

OldMaid 12-13-2010 09:31 PM

Very funny.
The Farve Drama. Can we all just hope this season is the last year of it all?
He really should have gone out a winner last year. Now, all he and the Vikings 2010 are remembered for is a losing season with all of the other drama.
Childress fired.
Farve and his girlfriend.
The roof caving in.
Using another teams' stadium.
And more drama to come.

THE TOUR IS OVER!!!

skymike 12-14-2010 05:31 AM

man, my pants feel good.

TheOak 12-14-2010 06:37 AM

AWWWWWW Crap! Just when they stopped talking about Favre. Now I have to hear about him for another 2 months.

skymike 12-14-2010 07:46 AM

t*****s!
and Brett Favre

things we are disproportionately obsessed with

neugey 12-14-2010 11:44 AM

I just saw on ESPN where they have a poll and 56% of America apparently thinks Favre's streak is more impressive than Cal Ripken's streak. Even the assertion that Favre's streak compares to Ripken's and Gehrig's streaks is TOTALLY DELUSIONAL. In baseball, over 99% of the players don't even play the full 162 games in season, in a sport where you basically play 7 days a week. Yes I know Favre probably took more of a beating through the course of his career, but Favre didn't play in a clubhouse where all the other guys took days off and he didn't - for 17 full seasons.

So do you think prima donna #4 could handle what Ripken did? I think not. I know better.

So is ESPN rigging the poll numbers?!

TheOak 12-15-2010 07:16 AM

What I am curious about seeing, is when he retires...

Will he retire a Viking?
Will be be brought back in for a day to retire a Packer (like Emmitt with Dallas)?
After all his BS, will the Packers put him in their hall of fame?

Another topic... With the Jet Chick, junk on the cell phone drama. She said she would not pursue a lawsuit if he was suspended. Well suspending him now for 3 weeks would not end his streak, thats already done. It would probably mean he would end his career on suspension for sending a picture of his junk on a cell phone....

QBREES9 12-15-2010 10:06 AM

Brett Who ???

neugey 12-15-2010 02:11 PM

Assuming the labor dispute is over, he'll be back next season for some team, mark my words. He doesn't know when to quit.

I don't know man, did you see his freaking hand? Looked totally blue. I think he may have totally screwed his shoulder for good, on his last play. Ever.

But, you are probably right. Like groundhogs day, all over.

TheOak 12-16-2010 06:18 AM

Well the last few seasons teams "Minnesota", Jets, and "Childress". Wanted him because they could look past his selfishness, and interceptions, because he could still play...

As of today he has not been healthy since the Saints game last season. His ankle had still not recovered by the first game of this year, and he has had one injury or another after that. I do believe his days as a starting QB are done. No one will "probably" want to pay Favre money for someone who is beyond his ability to stay healthy and recover....

In order to have Favre you better have a back up Starting caliber QB when he goes down.

However there are idiots everywhere...
