I remember when Hasslett kept "the forbidden one" in the game while everyone was screaming for Delhome. Even when it was discovered that forbidden had a throwing arm injury. I think you do what is going to give your team the best chance to win. If he was injured to a degree where it would hurt his team more than he did the right thing by sitting out. Not everyone is Farve and honestly Farve should have sat some games out after injury.

In that case, you've got a QB who's leading an offense to damn near 30 a game on average with an injury that didn't prevent him from throwing the ball, or a backup that had been cut from every team he'd ever been on who became a local hero because of his accent and one 5 yard slant pass for a first down. Yes, I know. It's water under the bridge, but it's a sore spot with me. |

Bobbby Hebert and Archie Manning were okay. YES, they are close to N.O.(Cut Off ,LA and Mississippi), but taking the romance and likability away , they were just okay qb's. ![]() |
