Any Hockey Fans?
 

Ok, I know this should not be in the NFL threads, but I'm too drunk/ignorant to figure out how to start a new one (to quote Dirty Harry...A man has to know his limitations). Anyone here like Hockey?

i'm an avs fan (seeing as how there's nothing really in the NOLA area, and watching sakic/forsberg/roy/foote growing up was awesome).

awesome sport to watch...horrible for any avs fan this season, though.

Being swedish I don't have much of a choice but to like hockey. Used to watch the Swedish "Elitserien" a whole lot more when I was younger but nowadays I mostly watch the NHL, I like the Redwings but I'm rooting for the Canucks to win it all this year.

Turbo: I met Forsberg when I was 12 and got him to sign my MoDo cap for me. MoDo had played a crappy game and lost to HV71. Me and my friends were waiting fr the players to come out from the locker rooms but aparantly at the wrong place. After waiting for 45 minutes we asked a security guard and he told us all players had left but made som phonecalls and Forsberg came back just for us. It was a great day and a great memory.

I don't know a lot about it, but I'm getting more and more into it. The Bossier Shreveport Mudbugs are in the conference finals of the Canadian Hockey League playing the Allen Americans. Right now they are tied at one game apiece. We got screwed out of a home game because Century Tell Center didn't think the Bugs would make it this deep into the playoffs and booked the CTC for another gig leaving the Bugs out in the cold. We have to play one of our "home" games in Allen Texas. So to try to help, the Mudbugs have bought 400 tickets at Allen for tomorrow night's game and are giving them away free for anyone who wants to go to the game, trying to get our home presence felt and heard. mudbugshockey.com: Mudbugs Headlines Our next true home game is Friday night. I've been watching some of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Lots of good games. I don't have a particular team that I'm rooting for, but it's a lot of good hockey.
