They do fine in the AFL, I don't see why not...

Yeah I don't see the problem with it as long as they are as good as the male refs.

I don't see any problem with Female ref's. This isn't the 50's and 60's anymore...

I'm not opposed to it, the NBA has female refs. That said, I can see it getting ugly at the same time.

Don't you just love it, though, when you hear a woman home plate umpire holler, "STEEEEEERIIIIIIIIIIIKKE!"

Sure why not, the guys might be playing more of a "flag Football" in skirts soon anyway the way the rules are changing.

Actually, it's kind of funny. If you look at the history of the rules:

You'll see that things are "more hardcore" NOW than they were "back then"
in a lot of ways. Also? I've met people in skirts (most of whom were/are breast cancer warriors,) who were tougher than anybody on a football field.

Maybe I'm old fashion, but I honestly am tired of hearing the cute anecdotes about how tough women are. Don't get me wrong there have been some strong women in history, but being candid, women are not as tough as men. They also don't deal with stress as well, and are much less logical. If they can do the job I don't mind, but just like with side line reporters, you might have one or two decent ones, but by and large they are just there to appease society. I don't believe that your sex should keep you from performing any job you can actually perform, but it better be because they can actually do the job. I suspect we will end up with many that are there to demonstrate that the NFL has moved to the next level of equality, etc. It will have much less to do with their ability to actually perform. I hope I am wrong.

Female coaches? I don't think so.... I'm going to say I don't like this. How many times have you seen a ref take a full on hit by a DB, or get knocked to the ground? What's going to happen when this happens to a female ref? How about female players? This is going to start a chain reaction, that will leave everything wide open..... Sorry to people that disagree with me, but I don't like this at all....

Why Are There No Women Referees in NFL?
OK people, why are there no women referees in the NFL? You know we are *****y to begin with and like this guy here (to the left in case you are BLIND), we could knock the lights out of someone like Ray Lewis (bad as I wanna be Ray!)

This non-woman NFL referee here does seem to have some muscles and yeah he looks tough, but does he have a cast iron skillet? I mean us women do people! Yes we do and we are proud of those black, heavy weapons! Our mothers passed them down to us and we received them as gifts at bridal showers---we are armed and dangerous folks!

Perhaps the NFL is afraid we are too petite and might fall down or cry (yeah right). Or maybe they fear lawsuits? Or, maybe they just think we all look cuter if we are just cheerleaders? Please people!

If I can't knock down Tom Bradylicious with my skillet, then what a wimp I must be! I mean look at him here people and now...after that car accident...it's probably even easier to knock him down! We all know now that he's receiving the big, big, big bucks, his acting will get better..."throw the flag ref, he looked at me mean like!"

And women referees in the NFL would not be nice either. We would not fall for the acting these players do, no sirree we would not folks!

We could tell when a flag needed to be thrown and our rulings would NEVER be over turned, replay or not!

Yes, here at jeanlovesyoulongtime, I wonder why are there no women referees in the NFL and I bet even good old NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wouldn't even answer me! Why? He's afraid of his own wife people...she could probably kick his ass with her own cast iron skillet!

What cracks me up is, the fat old men they have running around
out there are supposed to be the best at their jobs? Have they
ever really had any competition? I know plenty of women and
yeah, even several gay men, who are in much better shape, at least
as football knowledgeable, and 100% more mentally alert
than those old coots.

I could care less if a woman get taken down by a LB or DB. If she wants to get out there and take the risk, she can take the hits. Her choice, so it doesn't make a lick of difference to me.

But, in general, I have no problem with female refs. Who better to tell you that you did something wrong and punish you for celebrating a hard fought victory a little too much or for playing too rough?

I want to know what uniforms they gonna wear?

You say that now, but just wait. After the first time it happens, lbs, and dbs, will start having to watch out for them, because it is embedded in any man, that any violence towards a woman, even unintentional is a bad thing.
