Reg-gie
100 yards rushing and a score
|
the better he runs the better draft pick we get...

He's playing well...and hasn't said anything dumb for a while. Things are going good for Bush.
|
Yea, Miami is really kicking ass lately. I'd hate to be a team who needed the win for the playoffs, going into a game with them at this point. I always liked Bush. Unfortunately, he just had his injuries just when he was beginning to peak. He might not have been a great runner on a regular basis, and he did tend to move toward the sideline so predictably that people knew to play him that way, but in a clutch, he could be pretty great, and I loved the way he'd vault up over the defense on the corners. He played his part. He just got a little too expensive.
|
Wish him the best but I have moved on
|
Darren sproles......enough said
I'm Happy that reggie is doing well, means we get a better draft pick |
Man let him have the best year of his career. We need the draft picks. !
|
Hard to believe this far into the year and no injury. Hmm, suspicious. Whatever, glad he is helping us finally.
|
Seriously, what are the specs of that trade? What do we get in return, draft pick-wise??

Just sux we don't have a number one next year!!! |
Bush is quietly having a nice season. A career best 770yds rushing with a 4.6 avg (second best career). 40 receptions for 264 yards. The average here is a little lower than what he previously has had but it is still decent. His punt return average of 8.7 is the second highest of his career, I'm still claiming that blocking on ST was his biggest problem in that department for us.
|
I hope he make the Pro Bowl. Two second round picks. I'll take that.

It would be nice to know exactly what we can get for him.
Anything we get is going to make us come out ahead. |
Also keep in mind, even if they are only lower round picks for the Reggie trade...just think how well the Saints tend to do with players who are those under-the-radar, low-round picks...just sayin' !

Great for Reggie. 200yards, and there was only 1 huge run of 76. It was probably as good a game running as he's ever had.
Even if you remove the 76 yarder he still averaged 5.3 per carry. Sorry to tell you guys this, but I'd heard it was a 4th rounder if he played well. Looks like a win-win deal for both teams. :drink: |

I'm happy that he's doing well, but i am way more happy that we have sproles instead of Reggie
Reggie is a good player, we may have used him wrong but injuries don't lie and he couldnt stay healthy for us. Sproles is better for us, good luck to reggie, |
Really happy for him as well, I knew he had talent, but it wasn't the fit for us. We got Sproles who is getting it done, and RB is getting it done elsewhere.
|
Reggie didn't fit our offense, simply put. We spread the ball around too much to different players to allow Reggie to get enough touches to get into a rhythm. He's very much a rhythm runner(like a Barry Sanders, though not saying he is Barry Sanders) who has a bunch of negative plays, but kind of continually works at manipulating the defense in order to finally find some hole. It is almost as if he learns what to do to a defense the more and more touches he gets. The way we used him in our offense was 1 touch every so often and it ended up putting him into situations where he'd just get tackled in the backfield. There was no way he'd ever have worked in our offense to full potential. Sproles fits our offense much better.
|
Looks like he's going to crack 1,000 yards and play all 16 games. Huge game today. I don't know how much he has to do get get us the best pick possible, but I think he's going to do it.

Reggie didn't fit our offense because we have an unselfish offense. Good for him, he finally got what he wanted and we got what we wanted in Sproles.

The Dolphins completed a trade for Bush on Thursday by negotiating a new contract with him. Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed the deal, which sends reserve safety Jonathon Amaya to New Orleans and also involves an exchange of undisclosed draft picks.
