Nope. Ain't buyin what he's selling, and he has always been a favorite player of mine. But...
He sure has a wonderful memory of the situation that he describes from what, 30 years ago? I got my bell rung in high school. I know what it's like.
Should more precaution be taken? Absolutely. Are there ramifications for what players endure over lengthy careers? Damn skippy. Is the NFL liable?
Well that's the question isn't it? I say no. I'm no lawyer and I'm sure there's plenty to discuss on this topic, and as it unfolds I'm sure I'll learn some things, but in my humble opinion these guys were paid to play, and paid well. Just as QBrees9 says, most of them played college ball too, and most on scholarship. Why not go after the schools too? Maybe they will. I don't know. |
