Sorry for my readers!
My account has been terminated at Who Dat Dish (siting "complaints" by followers on Twitter - Yet, I've had one disagreement, and other co-writers, yet I talk to them daily.)
So if you are one of the bit that go and read my stories at WDD and enjoy them, I'm sorry that I won't be writing there anymore. Hopefully I find another legit website to write for who appreciates the work I put in. WDD has had a bad reputation. I did my best to change their reputation around but it wasn't enough. Not to mention the promotion. Frustrating part was if someone was complaining or a remark was said wrong, it should have been addressed. I had no warning, just removed from the site without evidence of what they were referring to. Yet, they claim to be "professional." Sorry for the rant, but figured I'd give people a heads up in case they don't see me linking my pieces here anymore. If you don't care? Sorry for wasting your time. If you do care? Just wanted to apologize if something I have said was taken out of context. |
Were you getting paid?

You can do better than WDD.

I'm currently looking for any other options. If you know any, feel free to direct me to them. |
Oh well, their loss, never logged in there other then to view your stuff anyway. What about blogging here in the meantime? I liked your stuff. Good luck with your career. Just another reason to hate Twitter.

Ditto on what Danno and SloMo said, blog here until you find another site you like.
It did seem like your articles were too good/professional for the WDD anyways. ;-) |
I may even do a few things exclusive to the site here even when I do find a new home. I grew a bit agitated with how biased the Editor was in the first place and how his ego was. I guess in the long run it helps me, but still sour with how unprofessional it was that not a word was said to me until after my access was denied. Pretty shady.
I know I try and do my fair share of promoting my pieces and staying involved with Who Dat Nation unlike a lot of people who write bit aren't in touch with community. I know I've made a quick name for myself and I do my best to respond to each comment made on my pieces or on forums. Stuff was always featured on SI.com, was always popular and lead views, so I know I have dedicated readers who whether or not they had interest in WDD, would read to support me or just get my input. Truly appreciate ya'll. Who Dat! |
