Steelers re-sign Charlie Batch
The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed veteran backup quarterback Charlie Batch to a one-year contract, the team announced.
Batch, 37, is entering his 15th NFL season, his 11th in Pittsburgh. Batch is 5-2 as a starter in Pittsburgh. Batch signed with the Steelers in 2002 after being cut by the Detroit Lions, the team that selected him in the second round in 1998. For his career, Batch has 10,610 yards, 60 touchdowns and 48 interceptions. With the Steelers, Batch has passed for 1,594 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 31 games. :lol:, that's what we say around Detroit, "Charlie Batch has the best job in the NFL" ... and not maliciously either, he does have the best job in the NFL, and a couple of SB rings to prove it ... there's still a lot of love for Charlie in the "D", :).
