NFL Draft Day 1
Winners
New England hit the ball out the ball park yesterday. Putting Hightower next to Mayo is beastly. They needed to address their pass rush and Jones fit the bill. Detroit Lions had a nice pick with Reiff down at 23. No better way to keep that offense churning than keeping Stafford on his feet. Cleveland Browns did well with a franchise back and Weeden even though he is 29. That said, they could probably have landed him in the 2nd with all the teams behind them not needing a quarterback. Losers Tampa Bay Buccaneers for overplaying their hand... not because they didn't draft good players. They traded down and did not land Richardson or Claiborne and settled for Barron and Martin. Kansas City with the drafting of Poe. Weak conference and was not able to dominate. Bad film and has the inkling of being a work out warrior. San Fran 49ers with AJ Jenkins. Reports have one team rating as the top wide out in the draft and it probably was them. Projected last 2nd rounder taken at the bottom of the first. The Bucs and Giants do not have a need for a WR. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |
