Carl Nicks failed his first conditioning test
|
What thats about. Carl got paid and now he doesn't want to play.
|
Apparently the same one Briscoe failed. Schiano must be working those poor Sucs too hard!
|
This is a big reason why I wasn't too upset about him leaving. The other reason was that they got Grubbs to replace him. But Nicks struggled with his weight a lot, and I always had a bad feeling he was gonna let it get out of hand. I don't know why he failed this conditioning test, but I still get the feeling this is going to be a recurring theme with him. And that is why the Bucs grossly over paid.

I saw somewhere a H/C commenting on his team not being in the shape he expected for the opening of training camp & remember it was Miami or Tampa ... must of been Tampa ... or maybe it was the Falcons?.
|
Passed it on the second try and failed the first one by a few seconds.
Not much of a concern but still troubling considering what they paid him. |
Week 1 is still a ways off...
It's if he plays better than here that I'll then be p/o... |
As Papz pointed out in another thread, the test was 16 110 yard dashes in a row, and Nicks failed by a measley 3.3 seconds. he then passed it on the 2nd try.
Much ado about squat! He's the best OG in the NFL. |

You have to make the team before you get paid.

Depends on your definition of "dash" :)

Just hard for him to get motivated not being a Saint now.
