And to think, the Saints are debating about who will be 4th string Wide Receiver. Some teams are desperate.

GEEZ

73Saint 08-06-2012 09:21 PM

Seahawks had to do something to get some air time!

QBREES9 08-06-2012 09:30 PM

Ok I'll say it, get your popcorn ready ! I can honestly say why, why do teams keep giving this guy a chance. Yeah yeah I know.

Let’s see you got…

Seattle, a team at a fork-in-the-road…

A weak personality quarterback…

Terror Owens…

Wonder how this is gonna turn out?!?

No matter how many numbers you put behind it, it’s still the same plot – it’s

Friday the 13th all over again!

Over/under on if he makes it the whole season? Seventeen weeks is a very long time for some people to stay out of trouble.

papz 08-07-2012 08:28 AM

You know... I actually feel bad for the guy. I hope he does well enough to earn another pay check next year.

73Saint 08-07-2012 09:14 AM

Hard to imagine Matt Flynn to T.O. Never thought I'd hear that said in one sentence!!

I'd like to but I can't. He brought this on himself.

Doesn't sound like Flynn is going to start!

ESPN's John Clayton reported Sunday that, when the team enters training camp, Jackson will be the one to take No. 1 reps. Furthermore, Clayton said Flynn simply hasn't been impressive to his new coaching staff.

"[Flynn] hasn't wowed anybody in all the offseason program,” Clayton said, via rotoworld. “... It's still gonna be a three-way competition. Because of that, Flynn's going to have to pick things up and wow everybody or at least take control of it during camp. He's not done it yet."

Who knows, the taste of humility and rejection he has had might keep him in check this season. But then again, maybe not. Especially when the losses start adding up.

Kosoma 08-07-2012 01:57 PM

getting T.O. to agree to a contract is like getting a homeless man to agree to eating a steak. all you have to do is offer.

Beastmode 08-07-2012 02:07 PM

Why is he even doing this? His salarly will be nothing more than a hot dollar in his pocket. Go bankrupt and get it over with.

He has a lot of mouths to feed.
I'm not convinced he makes the team.
He was part owner/party player of an Area league team in Allen, Texas and got booted for not showing up and playing.

Now, sources tell us the Wranglers aren't budging -- refusing to pay Owens the 160k or issue a mea culpa.

We're told things have gotten downright nasty, with Wranglers owner Jon Frankel accusing Owens of blowing off 4 additional team events ... something T.O. vigorously denies.

He only wanted to play home games or something.
We'll see.

How can you feel bad for him?

All the advantages that have been extended to him, the exorbitant wage he's been given, and he still bites the hand that feeds 'em...

I am a very compassionate man; but this @$$hole? No Way...

I've seen a few interviews of him after he lost everything... regardless if it's his fault, I can't help for feel sorry for the guy. Whether or not I like the guy, I wouldn't wish losing everything on anyone... it's a very lonely feeling. He's been given another chance... I hope he's learned from his mistakes and manages to pull together some money for retirement.

I mean it's not like he kicked my dog. I ain't mad.

Utah_Saint 08-07-2012 04:51 PM

Randy Moss got a contract.

By comparison, this seems completely sensible.

QBREES9 08-07-2012 11:57 PM

T.O. you can pay your baby mamas now !

You get what you sign up for, Seahawks ...

I feel sorry for Flynn, and Jackson, and the Seahawks locker room, and the entire state of Washington ...

I don't like. He is very lucky. As the old people in New Orleans would say, "He's got more luck than sense."
He should have learned his lesson by now which is shut up, play, and take his pay. Invest wisely in his future. Move on out of the NFL . This has got to be his last year. He really got lucky.

He still has to actually make the team, right?

You know I would of said that about Steve Smith more than anyone else about "Got more luck than Sense"

I watched so many TD plays of his develop over the years where he would catch the ball in double coverage with no effort, it was because his defenders completely never touched the ball when trying to catch or bat it away, its like his defenders decide to have the worst luck.

Would anyone be surprise if he gets cut ? He has not been playing well.

I didn't either. Guess we weren't keeping up on our 4th wide receiver battles in the NFCW closely enough. ;)

I read a bunch of comments from Seahawks fans this afternoon and they describe his play as absolutely terrible. He couldn't get separation from 2nd string Dbacks and when the ball did come his way, he was more likely to drop it than catch it.

I thought his thank you tweet was pretty classy though.

Utah, I'm watching the replay of the Seattle game. Russell Wilson does look very good. I really thought Matt Flynn was going to be the Quarterback.

No sign of T.O.
