Victor Cruz to Roddy White: I have a ring, I don’t care what you say
 

There’s a war of words brewing between two of the NFL’s best wide receivers.

Atlanta’s Roddy White was asked in an NFL Network interview whether he and Julio Jones are a better duo than Giants receivers Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, and in answering the question White took a little bit of a shot at Cruz.

“Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver; the big boys play on the outside,” White said.

That’s far from the worst trash talk we’ve ever heard, but when Cruz was told about it he didn’t take kindly to it.

“I couldn’t care less about what anybody else has to say,” Cruz told the Star-Ledger. “I got a ring back at home. I don’t care about what Roddy White has to say.”

White believes the Falcons have the best pair of receivers in the league.

“The thing that me and [Julio Jones] bring to the game, we’re probably the best duo in the league right now,” White said.

Cruz sounds satisfied enough about having a ring that he’s willing to let White go ahead and keep thinking that.

Falcon fans love there team, when they are winning. The panthers almost beat them, if not for luck. The panthers barely beat us. Surely that means they are hands down the better team here, lol.

He coulda been humble and pointed out how good Nicks and Cruz are and say something like being honored just to be compared to them. That would've been the classy thing to do.

But it was Roddy White, I'm sure Irvin was hoping he would say something more controversial.

I agree with Roddy. You folks my think he's cocky, but it's true. We ARE in a position to say that we have the best WR duo in the league right now.
