Re: N/S Which team most likely to beat Atlanta?
Today's haiku:
I hate these two teams. I'm glad that one team will lose. I wish they'd both lose. |
Re: N/S Which team most likely to beat Atlanta?
Some of the things that really stand out about Atlanta is how much they struggle (usually losing) to actual playoff caliber teams.
Alot of the Playoff caliber teams Atl has faced this year though has been Roller Coaster teams, usually going down by the time they face Atlanta and Atlanta has never convincingly won any of those games, not even vs the Saints after forcing Brees to 5 turnovers. If Atl even wins a playoff game or goes to the SB, then it will mostly be on their defense, for Atl sake they better hope they beat Seattle, hope to face San Fran, and if they make it that far, hope they get Baltimore. These are the only teams with Anemic offenses that can play into their defense. Biggest reason Atl should hope to face Seattle and San Fran is simply geography, look at the insane travel distance of both of these teams, both of these teams is literally opposite side of the country. |
Re: N/S Which team most likely to beat Atlanta?
I think Seattle, GreenBay or SFran are all up for the challenge. I won't speculate on an AFC opponent because I don't think Atl gets that far.

Seahawks or Packers or 49ers, Falcons suck.

I love the Browner and Sherman matchup against White and Julio. My money is on Seattle here. That's one physical and tough football team. I think if the Falcons are going to win, Tony Gonzalez is going to have to have one hell of a game... like monstrous.
Seattle wins. |
Re: N/S Which team most likely to beat Atlanta?
Atlanta is an awful team, and Ryan will continue his streak of being dog **** when it counts. Maybe he'll get his first play off win next year. Or maybe the falcons will realize that having a qb that can't score a td in the play offs is worthless and send him to Dallas to continue Romo's legacy of never winning anything important.

year after year though it seems the Falcons record is more a testament to the schedule put in front of them than anything else. Are they above average team? I say barely and thats only because of Julio Jones and Mike Nolan, but would they be 10 win caliber type team? No, its 9 at most. But since they get almost one of the easiest schedules every year where they are basically going on the road facing no one, and getting the 1-2 tough games at their place, factored in with them barely even winning alot of these games even vs bad opponents, you can see why they get destroyed in the playoffs every time. Its the same thing every year with that team, if Seattle is not too tired and plays a physical game, they will beat Atl. But like I said earlier, Seattles offense can play into the Falcons defense to, it could essentially be Matt Ryans first playoff win handed to him on a silver platter. |
