the only solace i find in this game is that gonzalez will probably retire, taking away Ryan's best weapon...Roddy White is getting old and Turner is past his due date.

49ers are 47-26-2 against the Saints (including 1-0 in the playoffs)

Falcons are 47-41 against the Saints (including 1-0 in the playoffs)


I know people consider the Falcons more of a rivalry, but I HATE the 49ers for every spanking we ever took - it's not even close in my book.

At least we have stayed closed with ATL and given almost as good back as they have dished out...

NFC is the "home" team this year, AFC was the "home" team last year

I agree. Anyone who thinks Atlanta is the lesser of two evils is high off their ass. I hate Frisco, but I hate ATL more. Enjoy watching the SB from da couch, Matt Ryan.

I think mostly everyone here feels the same as you do. It was picking the lesser of the two evils today. I had flashbacks to the NFC So. of the 70's, 80's too with SF first, LA Rams second and AtlFal third. They would flipflop sometimes I think. Saints were fourth but we were fourth and for so, so many years and umm, well, there were only four teams. :-) What is the point of even saying so .

I forgot until I saw Eddie Debartolo pass the trophy to his sister. I saw the NFL Inside Story show on Eddie D and he has the other Debartolo interests and his sister has the team. Her son runs it.
They traded businesses after his mess up in our city...the Edwards thing.
Debartolo was a good investor in N.O.

Only way it could be worse in my mind would be SF-Min --- and that one is not possible.
