im stoked about the Falcons going down but
They are going to be a PITA for us for years. That Jones trade is not such a stoopid idea after all it looks like. We have them smoked at qb but they have two near elite receivers and a better defense. Im gonna hate playing them next year.:)

Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
Coach is back and the onion will peel in Atlanta. Thought I was the only one who used PITA (lol).
|
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
No gonzo next year. He's really the only one that kills our defense. But we will see.
|
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
A lot of things could happen before we play them next year; injuries etc... WAY to early to already be worrying about it
|
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
On this day the last thing I want Falcons fans to see when they troll here looking for simpathy is how we're afraid to play them....
It's simply not true! It's still our divison and they lost it! BHAHAHAHAHA |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
The Saints are the ONLY team that regularly beats Atlanta in their stadium.
When the Saints play their A-game, the Falcons have 0% chance of beating us, no matter which stadium the play in. |

Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
Tony is why guys like White and Jones get open.
without Tony, I doubt that offense will thrive, it never has anyway. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
That's my point V. Now Defenses won't have to worry about Tony so they can concentrate on white and jones.
|
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
Tony Gonzales is the only person I have respect for on the Falcons.
I don't see thier offense being as good without him. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
The Falcons have shown for the second week in a row that they cannot hold onto a substantial lead when facing a worthy opponent. The Saints are worthy opponents.
I'm not concerned. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
There is NO question in my mind from watching him closely over the years that Michael Turner has lost a step and no longer has the fire. Gonzalez is gone. They will play a tougher schedule. They will regress. Not worried.

Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
Mike Nolan may get other offers
Gonzo is retiring Turner is declining, faster and faster They blew a wad of picks for Julio They have a bunch of key free agents to re-sign They may have peaked. They'll still be a good team, but I think they've missed their window of elite. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
From what everyone is saying the Falcons blew thier load early...
Shouldn't be an issue from this point on |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
I think that Gonzalez will be back next year. In a post game interview he said more than once that he will "probably" never wear a football uniform again.
He seems to be waffling. |

I hope not. He's still one of the best TE's in the league. I'm betting he comes back. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
Atlanta has a good team, I hate to say it also. They have strong players, they are just not good enough.

Baltimore has Ray Lewis, you can even argue for Joe Flacco who has (1) playoff win in each of his five years in the league and now he's taken his team to the SB. You don't hear any stupid, motivational quotes from him. New York has Eli, Denver has Payton, Packers have Rodgers, Patriots/Brady, Saints/Brees, Redskins/RGIII ... all successful teams have something Atlanta does not, an inspirational leader that can rally the team when the going gets tough. |
Re: im stoked about the Falcons going down but
The Falcons are a good team. They just need to find away to get over the hump.

It would be better for us to get Turner out of here than to keep him. We still have plenty of picks to build through the draft. We don't have nearly as many hard descisions to make as we did last year concerning FA. We'll be looking for pieces to solidify our front 7, and we'll need a tight end. Thomas Dimitroff is a good GM. I have faith in him. |
