Titus Young is a clown
 

Titus Young tweeted on Tuesday "if I'm not going to get the football I don't want to play anymore."

"Never have I ran the wrong route, just put my self where the ball was going," Young added on Twitter. Young continues to voice his displeasure and hasn't learned a thing since his benching and subsequent banishment to injured reserve late in the season. Young's chances of returning to the Lions, who seem to be intent on shoring up their team-wide character issues, are diminishing with every word that comes out of his mouth. His future in Detroit has been described as "up in the air" by GM Martin Mayhew.

Sad to say, but it's just another day at the office for Detroit Lions football. The fact the Lions even keep this guy on their roster after all his drama is an indictment of the organization as a whole.

Yet another example of why the Lions never have been, or ever will be, a great team. Bet.

Nah, they were just doing what they've been doing the entire SuperBowl era, just enough to make the fans think they're serious about winning and then sitting back to rest on their laurels as if they actually accomplished something, without actually accomplishing anything. <sigh>.

The more things change, the more things stay the same with them.

Their coach is going to get canned. Back to losing... bunch of classless acts. He's done. They had more off-season issues than any team. Not manufactured issues that is

Not really, other than Calvin Johnson and maybe Stafford, the guys they think are good really haven't proven to be anything more than just average, or they have injury problems, or drug/character issues. There may be some potential on that team, but for now it's mostly just hype, IMO.

Former Lions WR Titus Young recently told his high school coach that he's better than Calvin Johnson.

"He did tell me he thought he was just as good Megatron," E.C. Robinson recalled late last month. "I said, 'Titus, come on.' I said, 'Come on, man. Who you talking to?' I said, 'Come on, you’re as good as that guy? This guy is the real deal.' And he really believes this. And he was sincere about it. 'Ah man, I'm better than him.'" If Young is unwilling to play second fiddle to this generation's greatest wideout, he's going to have a hard time fitting in many receiving corps around the league. He'll need to at least fake an attitude adjustment before signing on with a new team.

I knew someone would grab him. He's not so good that the better teams in the league want to deal with him, but he's got just enough talent to make a team in need ignore his issues and take him. If he can get his head on straight and quit being such a diva, he may very well help St. Louis out, but the minute he doesn't feel 'loved', he'll begin acting out.

And I don't put the whole situation on just him, either. The Lions organization is partly to blame. They just seem to have a knack for sucking the life out of players and/or bringing out the worst in them, at times. The whole situation, to me, is kind of reminiscent of how Barry Sanders just got fed up in Detroit and retired. Not exactly, but similiar in that you have a talented player just wanting to get out of Detroit. Except Young had behavioral issues, Barry did not. Ndamukong Suh will be next ... mark my words.

The Rams have declined comment on rumors Titus Young will be released on Friday.

Detroit-based writer Rob Parker reported Friday morning Young will be waived on Friday, though both the Rams and Young's agent have declined comment. The fact that neither side opted to shoot down the report strongly suggests Young's time in St. Louis will last all of 10 days. If that's indeed the case, it's an extremely bad sign for the troubled receiver's NFL future.
