My early prediction of the NFC division winners
NFC North-I'm torn on this but I feel the team that is really due is Detroit. Its easy to adjust in the offseason on close losses to overachieving teams and they certainly pulled their weight trying to beat the legit ones. I feel the bears have an identity problem(Is it Cutler's or Urlacher's team?) and the packers are due for a off year. The vikings? AP isnt giving them enough wins for a division title. I think if their qb is able to deal with the pressure, the bears could be a factor but I'm giving Detroit the edge over the packers.
NFC West-It won't be SF!!! Its going to be between Seattle due to Qwest and the team who is pulling a "colts" in the cards. Rookie qbs/1st year starters are hard to figure out for many teams. And Hoyer or Barkley, the cards will fly under the radar next year and steal wins just like Seattle did this past year as well as SF. it also helps they are a west coast team which will make the loss of Wilson not that bad upon improved qb play. I'm saying Seattle takes it though. There is no bad team on the 49ers schedule next year except two and they are on the road and 49ers qb CK may be the next Tannehill/Cam the titans go all in on. With that kind of schedule and a hard fought season for nothing I just don't think they go all out at least next year. But overall they are the class of the division. NFC East-The sb is in the meadowlands, no giants. The redskins already just won the division. This is between Dallas and Philadelphia. Worst to first is common in this league. Philadelphia has a new coach, and with a new mentality its possible Vick will bounce back for one last run. Dallas brought in Monte Kiffen. Eagles though have two teams they got swept by last year and its a payback division. Dallas just has the skins as they can't seem to shake off the giants in their stadium and just swept the eagles. Its a toss-up to me on who will win because both teams have flaws. But because of the coaching change and recent trends of worst to first, I'm going Philadelphia. The south is obviously between us and the falcons. None of those teams personally scare me except Seattle and we will get a sneak preview of them if we have to travel. |

Too early to tell... but fun banter nevertheless.

Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
That's a pretty bold pick for the NFC North considering Detroit was 0-6 in the division this season. You're a better man then I am, WillSaints81,. My predictions:
NFC North - Minnesota Vikings ... Cutler's a headcase, the Pack falls back & who knows wtf the Lions have up their sleeves. NFC West - San Francisco ... Seattle keeps it interesting, Arizona & St. Louis bring up the rear, again. NFC East - Washington (with RGIII) ... without RGIII, the New York Football Giants win the East. NFC South - New Orleans ... Payton is back & the natural order of things in the NFC South is restored. |
Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
Sooner than later we will win a playoff game on the road.

Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
The NFC North is a tough division to predict right now.
all 4 teams can make a case to win the division. although now I dont believe for a minute that Washington will win the East. Dont be surprised if San Fransisco falls off behind Seattle or possibly even St Louis which is up and coming. |
Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
I don't see how anyone can pick Minni over Green Bay or Chicago
|
Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
Minnesota prolly wont because we all know AP wont repeat that success.
Minnesota and Atlanta last season was simply nothing more than products of a weak schedule. |

It's belongs to Green Bay and Chicago can take it if they choose... The rest are just there to fill spots IMO the NFC East is closer |

That leaves Minnesota, with two picks in the first round to pick up someone to replace Percy Harvin, a good defense, a good running game and a QB that can manage a game. They surprised me last season & I think they'll do it again. I'm writing Dallas & Philly off in the East. If RGIII isn't healthy, I write off Washington as well. |

Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
Well I'm now leaning towards bears for NFCN. But for NFCW I'm sticking with Seattle. SF may have gotten Boldin but he did not show up all season. Also, think about the sb hangover.
I saw SF losing these games and I'll match the signings to see if they win AFC South Houston-I had this as loss with Cushing back. Does Boldin change this? Schaub has one of the best receivers in the league when healthy. And they just got rid of the dead weight known as Walter. Texans though can probably play smashmouth with this team. Indy-I had this as win and still do. @Tennessee-I had this as win. But CJ2K made a big declaration. This game will be interesting. Boldin didnt do squat last time he went to Tennessee with the ravens in 11. Titans upgraded their OL for CJ2K to succeed possibly. @Jacksonville-I had this as a loss because jags defense has been underrated but burned out due to ineffective offense. For some reason I see this as a trap game. Again Boldin did nothing with the ravens in this game either in 11. Maybe SF wins this now because there's Crabtree and Davis additionally? NFC South Falcons-I had this as a loss due to payback. But maybe now they will win again which is good for us. Panthers-I had this too as a loss and Cam is the equal of CK. Considering how he showed up against RG3 last year it wouldnt surprise me if he showed up against this team. Panthers problems aren't so much pass d, but run d. But without Gamble, but I feel SF will have a hard time holding Cam down. @Saints-I had this as loss and still have it as loss because its in our place. @Bucs-I had this as loss. Because TB can stop Gore and across the country SF will face a challenge stopping VJac. The Boldin signing again doesnt do much. Packers-I had this as loss. Now this one becomes interesting @Redskins-I had this as loss due to other games. I can see a win now here. Division Seattle- Thought Seattle would sweep. I say now its a split Arizona-I thought cards would sweep as they are due and expected them to improve if they draft Barkley. But now I see another sweep here as well. St.Louis-I saw a split here. And rams just made some moves getting Cook and possibly Long. I still see a split. So yes I had them at 3-13. I figured the matchups went against them and the SF would have some bad luck. Now, I'll move this up to 9 wins. Their 7 losses to Houston, us, TB, Car, GB, Sea, and StL. The weakest link of those teams being Car. |
Re: My early prediction of the NFC division winners
And think about this...............Crabtree. How does he feel knowing that the 49ers brought in someone to take receptions from him? He already is a controversal player.
