Actually, I'm glad. Now we can get one of the top three OT's in the draft and sign him to a long term rookie contract. There is good depth there.

Well $7M/yr was about the ceiling a team should pay for Bushrod's services, so I wouldn't automatically call that an overpay as the future will determine that.

Still, I'm glad the Saints aren't the ones paying him the $7M/yr.

Setting the market value for above average LTs as high as he did?!

Bushrod's deal has a direct correlation to the deal Baker will sign with a new team.

Yeah Baker is a FA as well. He's no better than Bushrod though he'd be an okay stop gap if we don't get a guy in the first round.
