So Tony G, of Atl Falcons is not retiring
Gonzalez says offensive line biggest question mark going into... | Atlanta Falcons | www.ajc.com
I saw that on NFL network this week. The only, "no -brainer" as he says is really, IMO, that many of these guys cannot let it go and retire a winner. So if AF gets creamed this year, then he will want to go back the next year in order to right that. Whatever. |
Re: So Tony G, of Atl Falcons is not retiring
Yeah, he probably shoulda' just bowed out graciously a Division Champ after last season ... IDK, when I read between the canned responses, it seems like it's taking a lot of effort for him to have such a 'positive' outlook, like a bit of false motivation ... it's admirable that he's gonna' try & win one for his son, but if it were me, I'da bought a boat, some fishing poles & moved out near the boy ... they grow up so fast,

Re: So Tony G, of Atl Falcons is not retiring
Tony came back for a last payday. This is obvious when clauses in his contract let him skip training camp. And the Clown FO knows this, but they also know that losing Tony will be a blow not only to the game plan (you go from best TE of all time to no TE) but to their ticket sales: here's arguably the best TE of all time, still missing a ring; what indictment it would be on the Clowns if he left? It'd be like him saying "I can't win my ring here, so goodbye"...
Now, I am not going to belittle Tony for getting paid. Not a single bit. |

Don't think this will be the year for him to go out as winner. Last year was his best chance.
